Despite the ingredients, I have it on good authority that these are the best protein brownie. After a few experiment, the concoction seems to have worked itself into something fudgy and cakey all at the same time. A single pan doesn't even last a week in my house! The tools you will need: a blender, large mixing bowl, preferably an oven safe glass dish, and mixing spoon. I use avocado oil spray to coat the dish but you can use whatever you prefer. Depending on your altitude, you may want to experiment yourself with the measurements. This is created at a mile above sea level and uses a casein protein as it expands less than whey. I will also warn you that the consistency of the batter will be different than normal due to the casein added in. ~The Creator
Ingredients
Amount | Food Item |
---|---|
2 scoops | Ascent chocolate micellar casein |
1 can | Black Beans - no salt |
.25 cup | Fairlife 2% lactose free milk |
1 box | Kodiak Protein Brownie Mix |
6 oz | Oikos Pro greek yogurt |
Steps
- Heat oven to 400 degrees. Dump the whole can of beans and the yogurt into your blender and blend. No need to rinse or you will need to add a bit of water to blend the beans to a smooth consistency.
- In your large mixing bowl, dump your bag of mix and add your protein scoops. Mix these together and then add the beans to the mixture.
- While you are mixing the ingredients together, slowly add the milk until it is no longer dry. The mixture will be sticky and feel heavy. You can add a little extra milk if need be.
- Poor the mixture into your greased pan. You will want to take your spatula and press into the batter to spread it out evenly. Top with your favorite topping. Pop in the oven for 20 minutes and then check it with the tooth pic method. If the batter is still wet then keep it in the oven and check every 5 minutes until minimal stuff comes off the tooth pic.
- Cool brownies on a rack once the toothpick is clean. Once cool store covered in fridge or in pantry. Consume within the week!
